The Theatre program at LSS is founded on 4 basic principles: Cooperation, Concentration, Trust and Self Control. It is through the development and refinement of these skills that strong acting practices are developed.
Drama provides students with opportunities to examine the thoughts, feelings, beliefs and actions of themselves and the world around them. Drama reflects and affects the aesthetic, cultural, historical and global context in which it exists. It is also applicable to a variety of career and life situations.
Common areas of study include (but are not limited to):
- Tableaux
- Readers Theatre
- Improvisation
- Voice
- Monologues
- Introduction to Film & Television Auditioning
- Scene Work
- Clowning / Commedia Dell'arte
