    1.  “Chicken Soup for the Teacher” or Any “Chicken Soup” book
    2.  Reader’s Digest – Lots of short interesting articles, jokes an stories and I can pick and chose what I want to read.
    3.  Sports Illustrated or Car and Driver or any other topic-specific magazine about an area that I’m really interested in
    4.  “Tough Calls” by Dick Irwin (personal stories of NHL Officials) or any book that is a compilation of related short articles or stories  - this includes “Joke” books or books of humorous Anecdotes
    5.  “Fatherhood” by Bill Cosby – because it makes me laugh, the stories are quick to read and mostly, because, I too am a Father and I can relate to what he is writing about.
    6.  BONUS PICK:  Any Comic Book – hey it’s still reading and it’s a start.

    Two Solitudes by Hugh MacLennan because I am bilingual
    The apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz by Mordicai Richler because it is a classic tale
